Announcement! New Therapeutic Challenge Card Game REVIRESCO (a.k.a. Recovery Rummy) This therapeutic tool aids in the process of recovery from addiction by promoting honest, open, fearlessly searching responses to issues raised in readiness to abstain, recovery from use, support systems and relapse prevention.  It is also helpful in educating about addiction.  And, when used in a group as a therapeutic game, this tool will encourage appropriate, supportive group counseling interactions among the participants.  For paraprofessionals or peer group leaders, REVIRESCO can add focus and structure to self help and primary diagnosis group counseling.

The Reviresco package includes 60 cards, 16 chips, rules of the game, goals for each card/task, score pad, and a bibliography.

Clients who have made use of this tool have spoken about its excellence in helping them focus on essential treatment areas in recovery from addiction.  DEEP/OUI clients have been better able to see the reason for their required counseling in the process of becoming eligible for driving privilege reinstatement.

Reviresco is a Latin word which means "I grow strong again" or "I am revived".  It is the core root for the English words "revive, revival"; a suitable name for a therapeutic card game for addiction recovery.
